March Meeting Notes

  • The membership was particularly garrulous, giving Dan a difficult time calling the meeting to order. No doubt exuberant about the upcoming show.
  • Show master Brent Phillippe discussed his plans for the upcoming show, passed around signup sheets, explained the changes in voting he proposed, and passed around notices that he had printed off to promote the show.
  • Pat Coen volunteered to discuss with the parks department the special care requirements for member's trees on loan or donated for the parks department's display in the greenhouse.
  • There was a small raffle and refreshments before members began grooming their trees for the upcoming show.
Editor Notes

I did not receive my usual notes from the meeting this month so the recap of the meeting is a bit truncated. I am sure that spring show preparations have keep you too busy to notice anyway. I am trying to think of a way to have the newsletter out before the meeting, but have not figured a way to get the clubs scheduled activities in advance. I will persevere and find a way. Looking forward to the show.
